Area Recruiting Manager

About the Opportunity:  

As the Area Recruiting Manager, you’ll spearhead the entire recruitment process for Restaurant Management positions and provide strategic support for hiring crew members within a specific market. Collaborating closely with area leadership, you’ll assess hiring needs and implement short and long-term strategies to ensure all new Restaurants are fully staffed and existing ones maintain optimal staffing levels.

The physical work environment for this role includes a mix of home-based office work, community representation, and time spent in our Restaurants. This will involve fast-paced kitchen work, customer interaction, extended periods of physical exertion, and exposure to various environmental factors and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full recruitment process for internal and external candidates to fill current and future Restaurant Management roles.
  • Develop and nurture a talent pipeline for Management positions in line with our organization’s growth strategy.
  • Evaluate applications and actively source passive candidates, selecting Management talent aligned with positional competencies and leadership criteria.
  • Devise market-specific recruiting strategies and partnerships to support Management staffing efforts in assigned areas.
  • Lead the Management Recruitment processes, ensuring consistency and providing a positive candidate experience.
  • Establish brand presence in communities by fostering relationships with schools, community-based organizations, and others to attract candidates.

Recruitment Support for Restaurant Crew Staffing:

  • Lead the New Restaurant Opening (NRO) crew member hiring strategy and process to ensure successful hiring and onboarding.
  • Develop and execute Restaurant crew staffing plans, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist Restaurant leaders in developing recruiting skills and routines to maintain staffing levels independently.
  • Plan and execute crew hiring events as needed.
  • Foster strong relationships with Area and Regional Business Unit Teams to align recruiting efforts with business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and highly energetic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, problem-solve, set goals, and take action.
  • Proficiency with various technology systems, with a willingness to learn new systems.
  • 3+ years of recruitment experience, preferably with Restaurant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and reside within assigned areas.
  • Experience in multi-unit Restaurant, retail, or hospitality companies preferred.
  • Strong work ethic, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a hands-on approach.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license.
