New Restaurant Opening Manager
About the Opportunity:
As the New Restaurant Opening Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful launch and sustained operation of new restaurant openings (NRO). Your primary responsibility will be to lead and coordinate multiple training teams, ensuring that each New Restaurant is fully prepared and equipped for long-term success. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll plan and execute effective training programs, maintaining high standards throughout the process.
Additionally, you’ll be tasked with identifying training needs, facilitating the implementation of new systems and processes, and providing support for staffing, scheduling, and performance management. Your attention to detail, strong leadership abilities, and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment will be essential for excelling in this role.
The physical work environment includes working in a fast-paced kitchen and interacting with and serving customers. This requires extended periods of physical exertion such as walking, standing and lifting. It also includes working both inside and outside in varied temperatures, with and around food products and common allergens, industrial equipment, commercial cleaning products, and requires use of personal protective equipment and ergonomic activities necessary to complete the job function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple NRO training teams, ensuring the readiness and success of New Restaurants.
- Coordinate planning and communication with cross-functional teams to ensure effective NRO training.
- Conduct training sessions, provide coaching and support during NROs, and ensure adherence to standards.
- Identify training needs for restaurants, including succession planning, and facilitate the adoption of new systems and processes.
- Support staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management efforts.
- Assist in identifying talent for NRO training and facilitate focus group sessions.
- Audit operations, provide feedback to support strategy development and execution, and ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Perform Restaurant performance standards observation walks and take corrective action as needed.
Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic, with excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new systems
- Willingness to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends, and travel as required
- 5+ years of experience in restaurant or retail management
- Experience with New Restaurant Opening and training
- Must be 18 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
- Able to travel up to 80% and required to reside within the assigned area
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
